Big Al has a screamer of a takeOut last weekend, on Monks Pit for about 1900ish Friday night, lines in the water for about 2100ish as i fancied the furthest away swim. It's a bit of a trek with a fallen tree across the path in the way as well but it was all worth it, a cracking 31lb 1oz graced my net and christened my new weighing tripod!
Made a cardinal sin of not changing my rig in the middle of the night and then lost a fish on that same rig at about 0500hrs, gutted as it was an absolute screamer!
The lake fished very hard with only 4 other fish out all weekend, no more action for me despite the fact i had fish showing in front of me.
I'm out again this weekend, woohoo!

out again last weekend, had loads of fish in front of me but couldn't get them on my bait, finally bagged a mirror of 18lb 10oz, well happy.
6 fish from 11 nights so far this year.

out this weekend, not holding my breath though, very tough on my lake in the summer.
