What draws you to the waters you fish?
Big Ron

Well, thats not an easy one to awnser  Rolling Eyes  Rolling Eyes
as I have fished so many different types .....From the big lakes Like.... lac Du Der and Orient, to the Rivers like the Seain, Yone, Lot, Tarn  Very Happy to very small lakes of just 4 achers.

I think, that all have differnt reasons for drawing me  Very Happy  Very Happy

The chance of a carp in a 10acre pit is a bit of a challenge one that I would love to do. I feel the challenge would make you work harder for the fish with tactics etc.
Big Ron

Can you imagin 12,000 achers then ?????

to catch a carp like this from there ....is a honer  Very Happy

Now thta is a stunning fish.

How many fish would you expect from the lake of that size. Would any kind of disapointment creep in if  you didn't catch?
Big Ron

I dont think Im disapointed if I dont catch ....as its all a part of tackling a hard venue  Wink  Wink

I've only fished little stock lakes in France so far, Clearwaters and JRC a couple of times.   I've wanted to fish a big water for some time now but have struggled to find anyone up for it, convinced a mate to have a go at Chanty next year though.

I also fancy Raduta and Lac du Der, any big lake actually.

These big lakes have got to need a completely different approach to a small stocked lake, much more of a challenge.   I long for the big open space!

I know a man who has fished it a bit  Very Happy  Very Happy if you need any pointers  Very Happy

Hi Guy's, you aint gonna belive this one, I'm off to Le Mans tomorow 8th July for the 24 hour classic or something similar, anyway I am going over to work at the Bounty Lakes as the owners hire out the fields and complex for camping and need help in the catering and cleaning department, serving breakfasts and eve meals mainly, in exchange I get travelling expenses, food free fishing and get to see the race if I want(I'd rather fish!!),and best of all I get a free weeks fishing when I want(space availabilty),hopefully in Sept when I can combine our lake. I have not got a clue about The Bounty Lakes, I leave here at 6pm Tuesday so if anybodys got any info on the place it would be much appreciated. Thanks and will let you know how I got on when i get back, regards Trev.
Big Ron
