Ron, could you be tempted back out there??? I had planned to nip out there in December but its looking unlikely now... our oven packed up last week and today i took the car into Kwik Fit to change one of the rear tyres and they told me i need three done... for £228 
Looks like January it will be. EasyJet seems pretty reasonable and they allow sports equipment which means a bit more on the fare but you get the choice of adding more of your kit

I did go back about 4 yeas ago with Jeff
Wrote all about it in International Carper issue 11, it was called 15 years on I think ?? It was compairing the lake from when I had fished it for the first time to 15 years late ...so that makes it 19 years ago I fist fished there

Thanks to Keith and Steve of the Canary Carp Crew for a great day out. Not only did i get some rest up in the mountains from running around after my beautiful 18 month old daughter (which i had been doing down at the hotel all holiday) but i also got to catch this stunner
i am planning the next trip out to GC for as soon as possible, fishing only !!!

Nice fish there Hodster, Great to see a Mirror carp with scales from a foreign country, there's too many mirror carp especially on the Continent that all look the same, very few scales. Well done fella.

Yes Ron i can understand why you love the place... i was sitting up there by the lake and couldnt hear a sound, just peace and quiet its very tranquil... i can imagne being there for the night and watching the water as it gets dark and then watching the lake as it gets light the following day... what more can you ask for

had a cracking night on chira last night, a few friends (2 anglers, 2 non anglers) and kids and pug (that snored all night) 7 fish in total to 26lb, nearly all 20+ we all had fish and a great night was had.the wind chilled things down but when it calmed down it was almost tropical :)) the crash we saw last week at the lake kinda put things into perspective | ||

for sure, i think hodster might be hankering for a return soon aswell...would be good to meet you and catch up with darren.its fishing really well at the mo, keiths up there most days and to be fair hes having it off big style, the water is dropping really quickly, went down 2inches overnight saturday, its gone down a foot a week for the last few weeks.not good to see really with a mega hot summer having been predicted
