Actually....while we're talking about it, I was kidding but do you know anyone who's got one of those Coleman ovens you put on top of the stove? They're supposed to be really good and it would add a whole new range of options to the boil in the bag rice and curry!

Hi everyone, my name is Darren. I live at Sutton at Hone, Kent. Been fishing since the age of about 6, carp fished since 14 years of age so that makes about 22 years of spending a lot of my free time living next to water and trying to catch those carpy beasts that live within.
Been out to france several times over the last few years, pretty lucky living near the channel so can hop over when i get the chance without to much bother.
Looking forward to meeting everyone.

Yayyyyyyyyy Saturday's here! And I can get back on here. 
Welcome all of you and thanks for the note about the friendliness, Bulldog. We all have too much hassle in our day to day lives and that's a big part of why we went looking for a lake.
It's just how we want the syndicate to be too.... it's not about money at all - if you saw the costings you'd see that! We just thought it would be nice to build a small group of guys who could get to know each other and who'd appreciate the peace and solitude, respect the water and the fish and each other.
Yeah... I'm an idealist but what's wrong with that? (And Ron says if any of us disrespect the fish he'll probably break our legs.... now that's the sort of friendliness we're looking for! )

its always a pleasure to meet friendly folk like i said did have a nose around the forum first thought what a friendly bunch
its refreshing to see questions being answered without stigma (no big heads )
i lasted 1 hour on one forum and didnt bother to post on the other but did get your forum addy from it so i suppose i owe it that much
is there any general info on the syndicate// lake or am i not looking hard enough ??

Im still well intrested so am going to check finances tonight. Im trying to get set off reels which are setting me back some seriouse money, and yesterday i was invited to La Horre which again is going to cost! So the purse strings are tightening up! lol
Ive just been mooching around reading up trying to get all the info on what you have decided to do with regards to booking places/days/weeks etc! When i first read about it i was thinking along the lines of its somewhere to get away, and take the Mrs or maybe the parents but it sounds more like a fishermans venue! So ill have to do a bit of thinking about it as the holiday i do get from work i have to use wisely. generally have a family holiday once a year, and the the other half demands a holiday! So basically ive got to figure out if i will be able to get 5 weeks out of it a year! Im thinking along the lines of 4 day weekend trips, but then theres ferry costs on top!
But im deffinatly intrested and will have a seriouse think about it! ;o)

I have fished with quite a few anglers from Holland on lakes in France, Like Lac Du Der etc

On the lakes any where up to 40 lb + Grassies to mid 20's . On the rivers and canals it's anybodies guess
But at least it's a lot cheaper to fish here it currently costs me 60E for 2 rods fishing most of the main water in the south .
