now running at 17 nightsi'm on about my run of blanks, i aint shying away blaming the weather like many are doing though. twas a cold, wet, windy, horrible one this weekend. that wind was so icy it cut straight through everything i was wearing.
i'm back out this weekend, got to break the run of blanks!

iv'e changed my batteries last night in my delks, lol
i'm fishing Monks Pit, it's been rock hard for about 8 weeks, i haven't had a fish since some time in Sep, hardly any fish out since.
i'm thinking of fishing a small lake that is currently producing close to home this weekend.

I wimped out ... the Mrs said i needed a day bonding with my daughter.... while she went shopping  .... looking at the weather outside i thought a sacrifice of fishing today in tempreture of 3 degrees means brownie points for the next trip when it may be milder (i hope)

yeah i didn't make it either, didn't get home from work until about 2130hrs and was knackered so couldn't be bothered. had a lie in saturday morning and didn't get up until 0930hrs, my daughter wanted a lift to work then so i thought, screw it, take her to work and do some christmas shopping.
got the wife sorted, got a few things for my daughter and had a chilled out weekend in the end.
can't go next weekend, dinner party but looking at going the following weekend.

I'M out of it for most of this year, not fished since coming back from France last September, done something nasty to my back and needs a knife, so i'm pulling my hair out at the moment.

cheers guys, haven't cast a line since Last september, so going insane. the op on my back is in about a fortnight, had all the pre meds to make sure i'm fit to have it, and passed those. not allowed to do nowt for six months after, not even carry a cuppa so not good. but me and the wife have booked a two week stint in france next year, so i'm hoping nothing goes wrong
