PlansThe fish going in has certainly focused our minds! We've been pushing a lot of thoughts around over the last weeks - as you'd expect, as we've started to involve more people it's got a bit more complicated and we want this to be fair and a good experience for all concerned. At the end of the day, though, the lease is ours and we have the responsibility for taking a longer term view ...
Some of you are eager to get on there early, some of you would like the syndicate to start a bit later so that there's a bit more time to get the money sorted out. This is how the plan looks this morning:
The syndicate year will start on the first weekend in April (5th this year).
Given that we're putting the money back into the lake it's not the major driver behind this so you can take until the end of March to pay the £500 if you want to be in right from the start. Once we've had £200 you're a 'half syndicate member' and we can start to book dates. You can fish the lake once we've had the £500 so you could even take a bit longer to pay the full amount if necessary However, the syndicate year will still run April to April and you can't fish until you've paid the full £500...... Sound fair?
The syndicate member section on this forum is open to people who've registered a strong interest in joining and we're going to use that to pick your brains about syndicate issues, rules etc etc. Please check you've got access and, if not, let us know.
We're going to use the 2 months between now and April to sort things out over there. Here's a list of the kind of thing we want to address by April if we can (some are harder than others). We'll be posting in the 'syndicate member' section to pick your brains on some of these:
Toilets
Swims
Security
Storage
Weigh slings etc
Mobile home/caravan
Possibly, power, heating and water for shower (won't be mains so we need to have a think...)
If you've paid your £500 and would like to go over with us during Feb/March you'd be very welcome. We'll be working during the day but fishing at night and it would be great to meet you.
If you've got any questions or ideas please either pm us, leave a post in reply to this or contact us via the phone. (PM for phone number if you haven't got it yet) However, today we're off to look at mobilie homes for the lake so you won't get us till tonight.
All the best
Trish and Ron

Hi Trish, thanks for the run down :)
Just a quick note while its fresh in my mind. Regarding the hot water, why not install a gas boiler ? We use them loads in Spain, infact me and my old man install them all the time. They take the orange Butane bottles which are easily changed, i'm sure they will use them in France ?
We get a really good discount on them at our local supplier so if it's a good idea then don't hesitate in contacting me and i'll get you a price, could bring it with me on my first trip. It's entirely upto you guys, just let me know.
If anything needed building and i could get there when it needs doing then count me in for that too, only 23 but i can hold my own when it comes to construction :)
Cheers and look forwards to meeting you all soon,
Dan.

The mobile looks like pure luxury, especially compared to a bivvy, great if you take your partner or non fishing guest, also when the weather gets beyond a joke!! A brilliant find, well done to you both.

the mobile home is lovely, but very light in colour, so wearing slippers may be a good idea..
