So, where do you fish then?Where are your favourite venues, and what makes them your favourite?

I really only fish local waters within the Midlands area. I have been to France a few times and I must say for a venue I cannot fault it. The fishery is Rushes. Fantastic company, hosts , food and hospitality

I've fished all over the place.... from the USA to about 10 miles away from where I live now. Everywhere's got pros and cons.
I'd say, though, that so long as I've got good food, a comfy bedchair and a great sleeping bag I'm OK anywhere.... but I do have to say my fave place is a lake in France.... don't I?

Hi everyone,My favorite lake is called Northfield Main its in Ringwood,Hampshire its 23acres and holds carp to 40lb although my biggest out of it is only 13.5lb.my pb is 18.9 from another southern lake,I havent been to France yet,but am going out in April with my son,he fished in France last Oct and was the 1st person to catch 3 40lbers & 4 30lbers plus numerous 20's in a week biggest going 43lb 8oz,as a result of this he was invited over with a few others to promote their new lake and I am lucky enough to be going with him.(can you tell I'm proud?) My son works in a tackle shop in Devon and his manager Matt gives a very good discount (10-40%) to members of the club I belong to,if you want I can ask for discount for all syndycate members if ok with Ron & Trish,all the best,Trev.

Thank you ever so much - I think it sounds like a great idea. Ron'll be on later but I wouldn't have thought he'd have had a problem with it. I can understand why you're proud of your son too and it's great that you share your interest.
(They don't by any chance do shoes and handbags too do they?? Don't mind if they're camo.....)

I'm sure they do rucksaks in a dusty khaki and I recently bought some sea green thigh high rubber waders!,so I'm sure they could find summink for you both! 
Yeah am really proud of Ryan, I remember his 1st flounder when he was 3yrs (now 25yrs), he caught it under the green bridge (gone now) from the river Arun at Littlehampton in Sussex, and he now works at Torbay Angling, in Paignton, Devon. I'll give Matt, he's the manager a call in the morning and hopefully set it up, all the best,Trev

I think my first one was when I was about 5 ... though I was messing about with my Dad's landing net and scooped a perch out of a drainage ditch so it doesn't count!

i used o just fish presa de hira in gran canaria but this year am mainly concentrating on presa de ayaguares, much harder water but am well up for the challenge. Fished a few of the remote lakes in the north of the island aswell. They say variety is the spice of life lol

cheers for that, ive been spending alot of time on the lake, not only fishing but baiting various swims and having a walk round, im yet to have a carp out of there but the fish i have seen it is well worth the wait. it just feels like a special place to be (bit like your lake in the woods) so even without action i still enjoy it (ask me that at the end of the year and you may get a different answer)  all the time ive spent walking round the place and ive never seen more than 5 fish at anyone time, so i believe the place has a very low stock of carp....its funny tho...everyone i speak to has had a fish out of there but as the sayting goes ...persistence beats resistence lol
