so £500 for the year April to April, what are the rules, 3 or 4 rods, rig bans, bait bans, bait boats, rowing boats, etc, etc.

How often and for how long can you fish it?

We're going to use the 2 months between now and April to sort things out over there. Here's a list of the kind of thing we want to address by April if we can (some are harder than others). We'll be posting in the 'syndicate member' section to pick your brains on some of these:
Toilets
Swims
Security
Storage
Weigh slings etc
Mobile home/caravan
Possibly, power, heating and water for shower (won't be mains so we need to have a think...)

Hi Chris .....I think we have come a long way since the post above

but like most lakes there are still things we would like do to improve at the lake and what we offer the members  Very Happy  Very Happy

as for last year ...6 swims were made on the one side of the lake  Very Happy
security was sorted out  Very Happy
storage was sorted out  Very Happy
all weigh slings, unhooking mats, landing nets and buckets were purchased and are kept at the lake for the members to use for fish safety, there are allso some bedchairs and spare rods, to help cut down when packing the car.
I have a deal with the ferry company for the members also a bait and tackle company which all helps with costs.
The Mobile home is in palce and I have built a barby que area with table and chairs for the members to use ....Power is the main problem out there but I have taken a genorator over and am sorting that one out.

the fish last week where in A1 condition and there was some good weight gains on some of the carp that visited the bank  Very Happy  Very Happy

so all is looking good  Very Happy  Very Happy  Very Happy

Sounds good Mate.
Couple of questions.

Is the mobile home for members too?
Is there plenty of storage, what I mean is would it be suitable to leave a set up there?

Hi Chris .......no the mobile home is not for the members, but I have had permission to put up a wooden hut or put another one on there for the members  ....but its all down to cost at present and this point in time, as we are not even meeting the lease with the number of members fees at pressent, but once we get more members then all the extra income will be put straight back into the lake and more fish stock's  Very Happy  Very Happy

Storage is not an issue at the lake and as I mentioned eairlier .....there is already....bed chairs, rods, landing nets, unhooking mats, weigh slings, water buckets all ready at the lake, was looking at maybe a couple of bivvys too .....that dont realy leave much for you to take  Very Happy  Very Happy

hope this makes sencse  Rolling Eyes

Ron

thanks for the reply.

"..bed chairs, rods, landing nets, unhooking mats, weigh slings, water buckets all ready at the lake, was looking at maybe a couple of bivvys too"

So is all the above available to members?

What I was thinking about was whether or not there was room to store a full set of gear to allow me to fly down and rent a car to get around.
The costs of the train, petrol, tolls and the exhaustion factor of driving through the night are big compared to the price of the actual fishing as you are probably aware.
