I found this subject on another forum and it got me thinking. There is a fish in the lake I fish 25lb+ completely gold in colour and yet it hasn't been caught for around 4 yrs. It can be seen in the summer on the surface but will not take any offering at all. Has it got wise to the free offerings ? very curious? or just no bait is appealing apart from natural food??
If it was the later how would you adapt your fishing to catch such an illusive fish?

Have you considered electric fishing? Or a net....?
Sorry, couldn't resist! I'm sure you'll get a much more helpful response from the others.... but I'm working with this in the background and it made me smile! |

We thought the fishhad been lost to a neighbouring pool due to the flooding at one point, but this could be the year it comes out. |

if it was only feeding on naturals ....the last thing I would do ..is put a load of Boilies in to spoke it off the area.
I would try and then recreate what its feeding on ...ie.. I have used blood worm glued to a beed in the past on my hair rig
then I would place this in the feeding area
Fish are just like us they will feed on what they like the most
for example if you wanted to catch me ....you would have to bait in the Chinky or Indian ......a bait in the green grosers ....would never get a take |

Now there's one for the bait section. Chilli hemp with tikka paste |
