I have been Carp fishing for over 25 years now and never had the opportunity to fish abroad what with family commitments and such like. But looking to go next year hopefully for the first time. Now i certainly don't want to fish just a hole in the ground with over stocked fish, but more like a lovely old estate lake with fish in the magical 40lb plus. As i would love to beat my personal best of 38.00lb if at all possible? But saying that, still happy catching fish of all sizes even all these years on especially the pretty fish! But i and like most of us want the chance of a whacker!! But can members give me some sound advice, where a chance of a few fish, not rock hard, but also in pleasent surrounding's and good food lol. Also reasonably priced as some of these trips look ridiculously priced for a weeks fishing?
Thanks Ian |

Hi Ian .....there are that many lakes over there these days ...you are actualy spoiled for choice
but the only problem is ...we all want different things from our fishing ...to some its just a holiday and they love a over stocked hole in the ground .......but to others its so much more than just a holiday and the places they chose to fish will reflect that.
I cant put forward my lake ....as Im a bit biase LOL |

Nice one Ron that lake of yours is superb, let me save up the readys and see if i can come over next year. Be lovely to get a week or two on there! Do you have shower facility's there, i don't mind going local shops and cooking myself, just nice to freshen up after a few days on the bank? |

That sounds good if you can get showers at the campsites for a few quid. Just looking at showering every few days when fishing as need to keep the flys at bay lol |

I have never paid to use the showers there, even when I used to fish on Lac Du Der
they are such big campsites there are lots and lots of people there and the dont realy notice the odd angler on there |
